Kapha Dosha

As per ayurvedic texts, human body has three main body energies which are known as doshas in the ayurvedic language. These are Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas. There are five elements in human body including earth, water, fire, sky and air. Out of these, kapha dosha is mainly composed of water and earth. Since earth and water both are cool by nature therefore the Kapha dosha which is also composed of these elements is also cool and stable in nature. At the same time, both these elements are considered to be heaviest of all elements found in this world.

Due to same reason, people who have kapha dosha more than other doshas in the body are cool and stable as compared to others. It is all due to prominence of water and earth elements in their bodies. Although normal balance amid three doshas of the body is required for normal and good health of the body however slight aggravation or provocation of any of these is not serious health matter. It is just an indicative of the fact that the concerned person may exhibit certain traits or qualities more than others.

As far as kapha dosha is concerned, people who have abundance of this body energy or dosha have a tendency to move, learn and speak in a slow motion. But they do possess the power to retain the things learnt by them for long time period and that too in a better manner.  Also they understand things better. They have high memory and concentrative powers. As far as physical traits of people with abundance of kapha dosha, they have a thick body type with thick hairs. Such people have oily skin and they exhibit a tendency to sleep for long time. At the same time, they are sound sleepers.

Tips to stop insulin

Certain conditions including surgery, pregnancy, cancer, fractured bones or steroidal medicines etc require intake of insulin for few months. Aged people may require it for prolonged periods. However excessive insulin increases unused glucose as fat. It creates hurdles for the use of stored fast as energy source.
Those desirous to balance the level of insulin are advised to stick to the following remedies and preventive steps:


  • Blueberry – Seems surprising but it is true that taking blueberry is helpful to reduce insulin by approximate twenty two percent. Eating blueberries is much effective in controlling belly fat to great extent. The bioactive ingredients in this herbal product improve the sensitivity to insulin. It helps to reduce the risk of diabetes in respect of the persons that are at verge of developing it. Consuming blueberry smoothie on daily basis is much helpful for the insulin-resistant and non-diabetic persons.
  • Cinnamon – Insulin balance can be improved greatly with cinnamon. Adding this herbal product in the smoothies works wonders to balance the insulin response and cut down the level of blood sugar by about twenty percent. Taking cinnamon just for a period of twenty days is enough to control insulin. LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol and blood sugar levels can be reduced greatly for the type-2 diabetes by taking one to six grams of cinnamon in a day.
  • Nuts – Daily consumption of nuts including hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds is much helpful to balance the insulin to about thirty percent. These natural products are much helpful to maintain insulin to the requisite levels.
  • 4000IU vitamin D3 – Insulin balance can be improved by taking these vitamins regularly for six months. Daily dose of this vitamin works wonders for the persons that intend to stop insulin. Great improvements in insulin resistance can be experienced with daily supplementation of this particular vitamin for about six months.
  • Zinc – A daily dosage of 15 mg to 25 mg of zinc on daily basis is much useful to improve the insulin balance. Regular intake of zinc can show excellent results just within eight days.
  • Tart cherries – Enriched with melatonin, tart cherries are useful for sound sleep. Adding them to smoothies or enjoying snacks with Greek Yogurt and chart cherries with nuts works wonders to enjoy balanced insulin.
  • Physical activities – Getting involved in physical activities helps to drop insulin sensitivity and glucose response by about thirty percent. Insulin levels can be balanced in even manners with physical exercises and yoga asana etc. Seems wonderful but it is true that staying active continuously just for three days improves the insulin balance in a big way. Long walks and other activities are much helpful to stop insulin to great extent.
  • Abstinence from poor diets, alcohol and tobacco is also recommended to control insulin to great extent.
The above simple herbal products and other steps prove their worth to stop insulin in a big way. Sticking to fiber-rich diets and simple exercises are also much helpful to balance the levels of insulin.
